The Purdue baseball coaching staff invites you to our 2012 Boilers Winter Baseball Camp. This camp is desgined as a two-day camp but has one-day options for those who have more restrictive schedulesDay one and day two will have different itineraries and events.  It will provide an opportunity for players aged 13-18 to learn and develop new skills under the personal attention of the Purdue Coaching Staff. Each session will consist of an offensive skill session, individual defensive breakout session and a live scrimmage.  All campers will have ample to opportunity to demonstrate and improve their baseball skills with the Purdue Baseball coaching staff and a select group of coaches from around the region.  All baseball players will be divided into small groups based on age and ability level.

Mollenkopf Athletic Center
The Boilers Winter Advanced Camp will be held at the Mollenkopf Athletic Center on the campus of Purdue University.  Built in 1990 at a cost of $10.3 million, the Mollenkopf Athletic Center contains an indoor practice field, weight training room, meeting rooms and coaches' offices. The mammoth structure has a full football field plus spacious sidelines - totaling 92,400 square feet - and reaches 86 feet high at the peak. Two batting cages and enough room for live scrimmages make the Mollenkopf Athletic Center one of the better indoor facilities in the country.

Offensive Breakout Sessions
The offensive breakout session will consist of various drills and information designed to improve and enhance players’ offensive skills. Each player will participate in multiple hitting, bunting, and base running drills during the session. We will also use the spacious Mollenkopf Athletic Center for live batting practice rounds.

Defensive Breakout Sessions
The defensive breakout session will allow each player to gain instruction and improve skills at his individual position. We will have instruction for pitchers, catchers, infielders, and outfielders during these sessions.

Strength & Arm Care
Players will take advantage of the Mollenkopf Athletic Center weight room by reviewing and observing some of the exercises and movements used by the Purdue Baseball team.  The two-story weight training room covers nearly 14,000 square feet.  All players will be shown techniques used to maintain proper arm care and maitenance through the development of a productive baseball career.

Live Scrimmage Sessions
We will have live scrimmage sessions during the camp. Scrimmages will be conducted with live pitching, hitting & a full infield.

Pro Style Workout
Campers will have an opportunity to go through a workout which includes running a 60 yard dash and throwing & fielding from positions.

What to Bring/Details
Baseball players are encouraged to wear normal baseball attire.  Indoor turf shoes are recommended.  Lunch will be provided each day of camp.  We will feed each participant in the same manner that we provide for current Purdue Baseball Players.  Parents/guardians are allowed to sit and eat with the players and staff but lunch will not be provided for anyone other than the players.  Although every effort will be made to accomodate any food allergies it may be necessary to provide your own lunch should we not be able to meet your dietary needs.
